You love your product or service. You’ve listened to the motivating conference calls and the awe-inspiring speakers who encourage you to follow your dreams, now you’re ready to tackle the nuts and bolts of prospecting and marketing your business. You’re excited, you’re committed, you’re ready to rock your Network Marketing business!
To become a Master at prospecting and making sales in your network marketing business, you got to learn some simple techniques for building rapport with your potential prospects. You need to find out how you can meet their needs, then follow up with them to seal the deal.
…Prospects and leads are the lifeline of your business
As an network marketer, you contribute to the well-being of others. You contribute your life energy, your knowledge, and your services. No matter what your title or profession, anyone who is successful at anything is an effective salesperson. We sell our talents, abilities, experience, beliefs, and values daily.
You have to treat others, as you would like to be treated. That means you must always see your leads and prospects as being connected to you.
Below, I’ll share with you a simple 3-step process that will turn your prospects into partners, and you into a Sales Producing Maven.
Become the Hunted, not the Hunter
You do this by finding the niche that your product or service caters to, and then pursue that target market.
You need to target people who want what you have to offer. Market to them to share how you have the solutions to their problems.
As a Network Marketer, you’re looking for people who are entrepreneurial and are open to the industry. Your goal is to attract people who are looking for ways to change their circumstances, and are committed to getting paid what they’re worth.
Look for people who are interested in owning their own business. The more you focus on people who want what you have, rather than chasing people who have no interest at all, you’ll begin to see your numbers and growth increase.
Build Rapport with your Prospects; Earn their Trust
The key to success in network marketing is building trust with your prospective leads. You’re in the business of impacting lives and building relationships, pursue each opportunity as such.
You’ll lose a prospect’s trust if they feel you’re trying to sell them something for your benefit. People love to buy, but they don’t like to be sold.
Be a good listener. Be empathetic towards their needs. Let them know you’re there to help. Provide them with the best support that you can give. You may be surprised at the overwhelming leads and referrals you can generate as an outcome of you putting your prospects first.
Follow-Up with Your Prospects
Turn your prospects into partners. If your prospect shows interest in your service or products, and takes the time to view your 3rd party tool (webinar, brochure, video,etc); you should follow up with them– send an email, text or call them.
If they choose to join you in your business, teach them the ropes by explaining how the business can benefit them and how they can help others by sharing it with them as well. Immediately get them plugged in to your team calls and systems, so that they can see the high level of support and resources they have available to build a thriving business.
Always remember, this is a people business, and as Network Marketing trainer Randy Gage has said many times before:
“You don’t grow your network, You grow your people – and they grow your group!”
