Entrepreneur vs WANTrepreneur: Why Lazy People Don’t Make Money Online

Everybody wants to be an Entrepreneur

The problem is, not everyone is willing to do what it takes to become one.

The main ingredient for Entrepreneurship is a SOLID WORK ETHIC.

If you want to become successful in any type of business, you need to take consistent daily action. It’s no different than having any other goal in life. To succeed and make money it takes a lot of work. That’s the bottom-line!

I have met and dealt with all kinds of people– some with a particular mindset, those with personality issues, lazy people, and people with a certain attitude.

In this blog post, I will talk about the differences between them, focusing mostly on people who are lazy aka WANTrepreneurs versus the people who take action,  the Entrepreneurs.

Many People Talk About How Tired They Are of Their Situation

They want to be financially independent.  They want to work for themselves.

This is what they say…

However, their actions are totally opposite.

These people are not willing to spend the time and effort needed to build and market their business so they can succeed.

…Which one are you?

A WANTrepreneur “wants” to start something but doesn’t know where to begin. They’re stuck in the “wanna do” mode, but don’t have the courage or clarity to escape. They complain about their situation, wishing things would change, but are not willing to do anything to change it.

lazyThey want to pursue a home based business, but never commit to taking action.  It’s safer for them to think about it while enjoying the security of a paycheck, and sticking to what’s familiar.

WANTtrepreneurs:

  • Won’t take action
  • Expects everyone else to do all the work
  • Whine constantly and give up at the first bump in the road
  • Want something for nothing
  • Not interested in putting in the time and effort to learn their craft and hone their skills doing

It’s so obvious why lazy people never succeed in an online or offline business.

On the other hand, let’s look at the characteristics of people who do become successful:

Entrepreneurs are the adventurers who see the path they are taking as less risky than working for someone else who isn’t rewarding, interesting or conflicts with their values. They are visionaries who see what’s ahead and can’t imagine not going after it.

Entrepreneurs:

  • Know how and when to take action and do it
  • Do not get thrown off course when they hit obstacles or things go wrong
  • Work on a very consistent basis to create and build their online business
  • Continue to educate themselves to further their business goals
  • Offer something of value and help others succeed

It’s very clear that these two types of people have little in common. It’s also plain to see why so many lazy people (wantpreneurs) are failing in their business while others with a solid work ethic are succeeding.

The Concept of Taking Action

This isn’t a difficult concept to understand you would think, right? Well for some, apparently it is because this one concept, that of TAKING ACTION is exactly what distinguishes failure from those who succeed and those who make money online.

It may seem like taking action wouldn’t be such a difficult thing, but unfortunately if you’re lazy it means you are not willing to do what is needed to create an independent income for yourself, even if you have a great business opportunity before you.

If it comes to just taking action to go after your goal of financial freedom and independence, wouldn’t that be enough incentive for anyone?

For some, doing any work at all, or taking any kind of action to reach their goal of making money online with the right business opportunity is something they simply refuse to do, no matter how much they talk about it.

Anyone who has achieved success online understands this basic concept. It takes WORK. There is no free money being made online. Laziness will never produce results!

Holy smokes this was an amazing post. Just like Joseph … it the first time I have heard Wantpreneur. It really sinks in and gives the image in your head on what a Wantpreneur really is, are they really going to be Entrepreneur or stay a WANTrepreneur.

People say they want to be an Entrepreneur, but when they see that it takes hard work, massive action, and discipline, most people are not willing to do that.

Thanks Keith. Actually, this term has been around for a while. I’d like to take credit for creating it, but I can’t. It does however totally describe a wannabe entrepreneur.
