I was totally surprised when I received an e-mail from Erik Christian Johnson, a top producing network marketer and industry leader asking me for an interview.
Erik and I are both introverts in an extrovert dominant industry. Contrary to what most people believe, introverts are not shy people. We get our strength from within, rather than getting it from other people.
Here’s a great definition of an introvert from Psychology Today:
Introverts are drained by social encounters and energized by solitary, often creative pursuits. Their disposition is frequently misconstrued as shyness, social phobia, or even avoidant personality disorder, but many introverts socialize easily; they just strongly prefer not to.
Erick asked “How have you used your introversion inside network marketing, and is there a way introverts can truly succeed in MLM”?
“Being an introvert doesn’t mean you can’t do network marketing or sales.
You just need to find your own unique way of doing it. Be relaxed and sincere when reaching out to others and you’ll attract success more easily”.
