How to Brand Yourself: 5 Ways to Boost Your Online Visibility

Knowing how to brand yourself is vital when starting your own business. Entrepreneurs start a business usually because it’s been their dream or it comes out of need. Consumers buy from people they know, trust and like, not necessarily from a company. This is especially true if the company is in its start-up stage. This is why it’s vital to build your personal brand before you build the brand for your business. This will give your business a boost at the start and will enhance your chances of success.

What does “Branding Yourself” actually mean?

Branding yourself means to make yourself known, being visible by communicating globally what your expertise is and what you personally stand for in this world. It’s important that you do this consistently and with complete clarity. Highlight what is unique about you so that people will take notice and remember. You want to be foremost on their minds when they realize they have a need for your product and/or service.

1.  Be Active on Social Media

You can use social media very effectively in building your brand, especially through your own blog. By having a Facebook page, Instagram account, or Twitter handle, entrepreneurs are now reaching a much broader audience and becoming known. This is how you will directly connect with your target audience and build personal relationships with people all over the world. Being an entrepreneur in this day and age means you must promote your brand.

2.  Create a Website and/or a Blog Using Your Name

Buy a domain of your name and get a host. If your name is taken pick something else that people will relate to as you. This can be “workwithyourname.com” or “whoisyourname.com.”

In today’s world your website must feature your blog. This is by far the best way to reach out and communicate with your business prospects and others in the industry. You can blog about current trends, showcase articles of interest and establish through your blog that you are willing to help others.

3.  Become an Expert

If you want to be the person people turn to in this industry, you must know what you’re talking about and doing. Educate yourself through books, classes, webinars and trade shows. When you’re driving listen to educational CDs. Most people drive more than 15,000 miles a year so when you add up the listening time this would be more time than you’d spend in a year of graduate school towards an advanced degree.

4.  Brag About Yourself a Bit

Without being obnoxious you need to convey your worth to others. Find a way to let people know what you offer, what your value is. The gift you bring to the table is unique, something that no one else can offer. Everyone needs this and it’s up to you to let others know where they can get it.

5.  Make an Impression

Allow people to see the real you by incorporating your personality and what makes you unique into your work. Let people get to know the real you and all the things you hold dear and are passionate about. In this way you’ll create a memorable and indelible impression.

Your Story is Your Brand

When people find out why you’re so passionate about what you do and the kind of experiences in life that have made you who you are, they begin to relate. They understand the common thread and this makes you stand out from your competition.

Accept that you are already unique because there is no one else like you. No one has gone where you have gone, learned the same lessons, has the same talent or skill-set. Your perspective is unique and you have gifts that only you can offer. Be confident and get out front and center and let yourself shine.

Stand Out From the Crowd: 3 Simple Steps to Get You Noticed Online

You must stand out from the crowd if you want to survive and succeed online. Once you’re in business selling products and/or services, you now need to get the word out. We all know that having a blog is essential so the next step is figuring out how to create enough traffic to sustain your business and grow. What you need to do is create brand awareness and position yourself so that you stand out in a crowd full of competitors. Social Media Marketing has proven to be a very effective tool for doing this but there are a few key things that can make all the difference in the world as to whether you succeed or not.

If what you want is to be a sought-after commodity, you can separate yourself from the crowd by branding yourself as an expert. Here’s how to do that:

How to Become an Authority in Your Niche

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” custom_margin=”0px||0px|” custom_padding=”0px||0px|”]

When people enter a store to buy something, what do think drew them in to begin with? Could it be the way the store looks on the outside? Is it their price point? How the store smells? Its size? Or is it the people who work there?

There may be a difference of opinion among people, but research proves that most people by far, give their business to the people they know, like and trust.

Has a sales person ever been rude to you?  You’re shopping at a very busy clothing store and the sales associate assures you they will be with you momentarily. You stand around waiting for 15 minutes and it becomes clear that they are just too busy. You go up and ask for help once more and they come right out and tell you as much!

How are you feeling right about now? It’s very apparent that this sales associate doesn’t value your patronage at all! Knowing this, you will probably leave and never come back, right?

This unfortunate situation is quite common in retail, but it’s not just confined to brick and mortar stores, it happens online as well. When people visit your website they are not only seeing how well it’s put together, but they are looking at the person behind the business. They are looking at and sizing you up!

Your challenge is getting them to like you without ever meeting them in person. To do this you need to somehow get known in your niche to build up a level of trust with your audience. They need to think of you as an expert in whatever products and/or services you are selling, otherwise they will not stay long enough to buy. How can you accomplish this?

Your name, your image, along with what you represent must blanket the Internet. You do this by providing value; creating EPIC content; writing blog post, doing what others don’t want to do– like creating videos and hosting webinars. Participate in chat rooms and lead discussions in forums.

Exploit every possible method to get yourself out there in cyberspace so that your name becomes familiar to everyone in your niche

When someone shows up at your door trying to sell you something, how do you feel? You don’t know them; you have no idea who they are or what they’re selling, so how could you have enough trust to buy anything from them?

This is what happens online as well. If you don’t know or have never heard of the person behind a website promoting something, you would not be inclined to buy from them.

There is no level of trust…

Once you get your name out there and people know who you are, and what you represent, you will start seeing more sales and  success will come your way.

Building Momentum to Grow Your Network Marketing Business

To be successful in network marketing you’ve got to consistently get out there and take action every day.  That’s the only way you’re ever gonna get any momentum going at the level needed to drive your business to success. Taking small steps is not going to get you anywhere. Minimal action will bring minimal rewards. What you need is to take massive actions to build the kind of momentum it takes to achieve massive results.

What Creates Momentum?

When you consistently repeat a certain activity over and over again over a period of time, your results will start residually building up. An action you took last month will end up being the catalyst for the results you attain today. Momentum is the result of persistent action on a very regular basis over a sustained period of time.

Your momentum will come as a result of you developing the kind of work ethic and habits needed to succeed. If you stick with it for at least a month and probably more, you will start building momentum. To build on this initial success, you will need to continue performing these actions, and maybe accelerating them to a certain extent to get to the next level. You’ll have short-term momentum as well as long-term, but the formula remains the same and that is to remain focused, continually taking action while you’re experiencing continued growth.

How to Keep Your Momentum

If you are busy prospecting and recruiting for your business, blogging, writing articles or posting videos, just keep going for at least 30 days if you want to see any real results. It may get boring and monotonous at times, but this is just something you’ll deal with because there is no quick and easy path to success. Set your goals and determine the action steps you’ll need to take on a daily basis to attain your goals, and do not waiver. If you’re not prepared to stick to the plan, you’ll be wasting your time and destroying any momentum that may have started building up.

What Quickly Destroys Momentum

The quickest way to kill momentum is to divert your eyes from the prize before getting results. This is a very common problem. If we don’t experience immediate success, we are inclined to lose interest, give up and move on.

Do not defeat yourself by scrutinizing your results every single day. Do not be unrealistic in your expectations when trying to grow your business. Understand that success is a long process and avoid becoming discouraged by giving yourself time. If you keep comparing yourself to others, that too can be discouraging. We all start out from different places. Others may have more resources, more experience and more money when they start out. It makes no sense to get caught up in comparisons, just stick to your own game plan and you’ll move forward as long as you stick with the plan and keep going.

If after a week of working diligently and you don’t have all the signups you expect, you are probably being unrealistic in your expectations. Just commit to performing your daily routine to move towards accomplishing your goals and keep challenging yourself to do more.

Once you start seeing results, you can set higher goals. Just keep this up month after month and you will definitely see the success you’ve been working so hard to achieve.

The Fastest Way to Learn Network Marketing Online

To succeed in network marketing you need to start out on the right foot with the proper training. If you want to begin making money as quickly as possible, there are some basic tips you can follow when starting.

Everyone learns differently so it’s important that you find an approach that works best for you when learning online network marketing. One method that seems to work well in connecting people online is attraction marketing. This has proven to be a very useful tool.

The following are a few helpful tips to get you off to a quick start in building your downline:

Decide On An Effective Online Marketing System

There are some very effective online marketing systems these days that can offer guidance and reduce your learning curve substantially.

Choose a system with a lead capture page with a high rate of conversion. It should be easy to use, and come with a supportive group of fellow online marketers who may be willing to mentor you.

Focus On Just 1 or 2 Marketing Techniques

Decide where it makes sense for you to focus your marketing efforts. You can choose from various social media platforms, like Facebook or LinkedIn, various online forums or even try your hand at video marketing.

But formulate your marketing strategy and implement it by focusing all your efforts so you can create momentum. If you jump from one marketing technique to another before generating a steady flow of warm leads, you’ll end up diluting your results and thus your income potential.

Choose How You will Deliver Your Content

You’re going to need to decide which method you’ll  use to grow your business. Most successful online marketers blog, but YouTube has also proven to be very effective, as well as article sharing websites.

Video marketing is a very popular way for people to share their insights and it has the added value of making it easier for people to connect personally. When you can actually see someone speaking to you through your computer screen, you feel as if you can trust him or her, which makes it a very powerful marketing tool.

Whatever marketing technique you choose to go with, it’s important to be consistent and stick with it in order to build the traffic you need to succeed.

Get Support from a Mastermind Group

When you have a good support system it can make all the difference in the world to your success in online network marketing. The more support, the better.

It will give you a place to share ideas about what works and doesn’t work, provide encouragement when you hit the inevitable dry spell and gives you people who will hold you accountable. It can also introduce you to people who will promote you and your brand through social and industry networks.

By following these helpful tips when first starting out you will more quickly build your online marketing business, gain momentum and be on the road to success much faster.

3 Easy Ways to Generate More Traffic for Your Home Business

Traffic and leads are the two most important things any business needs to survive. Here are three tips for generating more internet traffic for your home business.

If you are in the home based business industry, getting traffic to your site will help you generate leads for your business on autopilot. That means you have more exposures and targeted prospects viewing your business opportunity. So, even if you are a poor prospector and lack the closing skills of some of the top dogs in the industry, you can still get commissions and sales when you are able to drive a huge amount of traffic to your site.

Would getting 100’s visitors a day help build your business? Of course it would. How much would that traffic mean to your business? What if you could add an extra sale a week, and you did that every week? Just think of the extra income you’d create at the end of each month.

It’s important to know how to drive a consistent stream of high quality leads to your site, and since company replicated sites do not rank well on the search engines, how do you come up with an online presence that drives leads through quality content?

Content is the new currency, but anyone can create content. The key to driving traffic is what you do after you create your content.

1.  Have a plan:

If you really want to get more long-term traffic, you must have a plan. When you have a marketing plan that allows you to routinely drive traffic to your website, you can build an email list, increase front-end sales, and create residual income from your marketing efforts

2.   Focus on Repeat Traffic:

Repeat traffic is the best traffic. More often than not, a visitor to your website is not going to purchase something from you the very first time they land on your site. In fact, it may take up to a dozen times before they even consider investing in a product you promote or suggest to them. But, how can you capitalize on the traffic you get to increase the probability of recurring visits that can potentially increase your income?

The critical step is allowing your visitors to warm up to you. This way they trust you more. If you post valuable and useable content to your site on a daily basis, people will grow to listen and trust your suggestions and recommendations.

3.  Leverage Social Media:

There are many ways to drive traffic on the Internet, and all network marketers should have a social media marketing strategy. Think about how you are marketing online. Are you hoping people will find you, or are you marketing with intention and building relationships with your target audience?

Every day you should post to Facebook groups that are geared toward your target audience.  Again, the important thing is to post content, not spam your links or business opportunity.  In a sea of amateur marketers, this will help you stand out from the crowd and attract people who are hungry to learn more about how you can help them build their business bigger, faster and better.

Figure out whom you want to target, create content that serves them, and you will get them to visit your site.

How To Keep People Engaged On Your Website

If you have an online business, you need to know how to keep people engaged on your website. The hard fact is, most visitors will click off your website within the first 10 seconds.

This is the reality, and if you think about how you browse the Internet, you most likely do the exact same thing  yourself.

I’m sure you’ve run across maybe hundreds of websites that you don’t even remember. So, you ask, “Why should I create an online business if this is the case?”

The answer is, there are some techniques you can use to keep your visitors on your website longer…

How can you have some control over whether or not they come back?  For starters, you can increase the chance of them returning by having a way to capture their email address and staying in contact with them. This is one way to develop a relationship,  and by doing this with a multitude of visitors you build a good reputation.

To keep people interested you can offer free reports, a newsletter,  or free training.

At first glance this may seem like you’re going overboard, but you aren’t. Studies have shown that someone must be exposed to a product and/or service at least 7 times before they are ready to make a purchase.

When you watch commercials on TV you see tons of commercials for various foods, and these commercials are shown over and over again, right? The reason for this is that advertisers know the television audience is sitting there watching all these ads—most likely salivating. The more you see a Juicy Burger commercial, the more you yearn for that burger. It’s only natural, right? Especially if you are hungry. The more you see that juicy burger being bitten into, the more you want one!

This is why repeat contact is necessary. Each time you are in contact with people, their interest is sparked and they want to learn a little more.

The more interesting your website, the more people will be encouraged to stay. There is nothing worse than a boring website. Make it fun, maybe even interactive if you can.

Give them easy access to information on you and the products and/or services your site is promoting. If you can keep them wondering what is next, this is fun for them and keeps visitors hanging around longer and in the end, it creates sales.

Online marketing can be at times frustrating, exciting, and difficult, but if you’re consistent you will see results. You will want to try a number of different things, experiment, and see what kind of results you get.

Keep tweaking your website to spark people’s interest and at some point, you’ll find the winning formula and start making money.

In the meantime, keep your name out there and communicate with your audience.
