Building Momentum to Grow Your Network Marketing Business

To be successful in network marketing you’ve got to consistently get out there and take action every day.  That’s the only way you’re ever gonna get any momentum going at the level needed to drive your business to success. Taking small steps is not going to get you anywhere. Minimal action will bring minimal rewards. What you need is to take massive actions to build the kind of momentum it takes to achieve massive results.

What Creates Momentum?

When you consistently repeat a certain activity over and over again over a period of time, your results will start residually building up. An action you took last month will end up being the catalyst for the results you attain today. Momentum is the result of persistent action on a very regular basis over a sustained period of time.

Your momentum will come as a result of you developing the kind of work ethic and habits needed to succeed. If you stick with it for at least a month and probably more, you will start building momentum. To build on this initial success, you will need to continue performing these actions, and maybe accelerating them to a certain extent to get to the next level. You’ll have short-term momentum as well as long-term, but the formula remains the same and that is to remain focused, continually taking action while you’re experiencing continued growth.

How to Keep Your Momentum

If you are busy prospecting and recruiting for your business, blogging, writing articles or posting videos, just keep going for at least 30 days if you want to see any real results. It may get boring and monotonous at times, but this is just something you’ll deal with because there is no quick and easy path to success. Set your goals and determine the action steps you’ll need to take on a daily basis to attain your goals, and do not waiver. If you’re not prepared to stick to the plan, you’ll be wasting your time and destroying any momentum that may have started building up.

What Quickly Destroys Momentum

The quickest way to kill momentum is to divert your eyes from the prize before getting results. This is a very common problem. If we don’t experience immediate success, we are inclined to lose interest, give up and move on.

Do not defeat yourself by scrutinizing your results every single day. Do not be unrealistic in your expectations when trying to grow your business. Understand that success is a long process and avoid becoming discouraged by giving yourself time. If you keep comparing yourself to others, that too can be discouraging. We all start out from different places. Others may have more resources, more experience and more money when they start out. It makes no sense to get caught up in comparisons, just stick to your own game plan and you’ll move forward as long as you stick with the plan and keep going.

If after a week of working diligently and you don’t have all the signups you expect, you are probably being unrealistic in your expectations. Just commit to performing your daily routine to move towards accomplishing your goals and keep challenging yourself to do more.

Once you start seeing results, you can set higher goals. Just keep this up month after month and you will definitely see the success you’ve been working so hard to achieve.

Great post Demetri! We have to have consistent action over time to equal massive results. So many people start out in this industry and then 10, 30, 45 days in without massive results quits! This industry isn’t a race but a marathon! Thanks for the share!

Momentum is huge, and as you mentioned doing it repeatedly will start to build that momentum. The problem is most never see momentum, as they give up before it happens.
The ones that are successful are the ones that keep pushing forward.
